Today (9/16/23), in a hall of Barangay North Laud, Siasi, Sulu.
Arthur Angeles, Presiden of local Ahmadiyya Community based in Siganggang said the symposium was attended by around 60 persons coming from the barangay and nearby barangay.
During the symposium, the President introduced to the attendees about the Ahmadiyya Community and then continued by lecture by Tuan ABDULHALIM Suhurun, Missionary for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Pandami, who spoke about the issue of the Prophet Isa AS who is believed by some Muslims to have ascended to heaven and will return to earth in the latter day.
During his lecture Tuan Abdulhalim presented some proofs from verses of the Holy Quran, sayings of the Prophet Muhammad SA about the death of Prophet Isa AS and the viewpoints of some islamic scholars who believed that Prophet Isa As has died a natural death.
Tuan Abdul Mukhlis, the next speaker who came from Zamboanga City, spoke about the second coming of Prophet Isa AS and stated that his second coming already fulfilled in the person of Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS, the founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The founder of Ahmadiyya community has corrected many misunderstandings within Muslims, particularly about the common believe concerning Jesus Christ based on revelation he received from Allah The Almighty. He also informed the audience that Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS was the awaited Imam Mahdi and the Promised Messiah.
He then invited the audience to learn more about the community and join with it to further the cause of Islam so that the world will be witnessing the truth and the beauty of Islam.
During QA seasion, some audiences expressed that now they understand that actually Prophet Isa AS has actually died a natural death.
After the program audience were invited to a simple lunch and drink.
